The Bedford Firefighters Association is a nonprofit
organization made of the members of the Bedford Fire
Department. The purpose of the association is to
interact with the Bedford Fire Department with its
responsibilities regarding the suppression of fire, the
performance of rescue services and fire prevention
programs. It is also to accept and raise funds for the
purchase of equipment for the fire department and rescue
services.
The members of the Firefighters Association raise funds
through special programs and the annual Bedford
Firemen's Ball held each May. Through fundraising, the
members are able to support the purchase of necessary
equipment to protect the citizens of Bedford and provide
the fire prevention program each year as well as fund
